Liposuction (or lipoplasty) is a body-sculpting procedure to remove fat that is unresponsive to diet and exercise and that is largely genetically-determined. This procedure should not be considered “minimally invasive” or viewed as a method of weight loss. This procedure can be applied to nearly any area of the body, including love handles, saddlebags, a double chin, bulges around the waistline, or other unsightly fatty deposits.
